Wordt geleverd inclusief een MSA Fabric Switch 6 met 6 stuks 2GB Fibre-Channel interfaces, de Ultra-3 SCSI-interface (2x VHDC-aansluiting, 229205-001), twee stuks hot-swap voedingen, een 128MB Cache-Controller (229203-001). Compatibel partnummer: 229198-001. Biedt ondersteuning voor maximaal 14 stuks 1" hoge hot-swappable SCSI-harddisks.

The Compaq StorageWorks Modular SAN Array 1000 is the first generation 2 Gb Fibre Channel storage system designed for the entry level to mid-range Storage Area Network (SAN).

The StorageWorks MSA1000 base unit combines the array controller shelf and the drive shelf, which can hold up to fourteen 1" universal disk drives in a single 4U rackmount cabinet. The MSA1000 provides Ultra3 SCSI connections to the hard drives and uses the Compaq Universal 1" Ultra2 and/or Ultra3 drives, lowering the total cost of ownership.
